Technologies for Quality Air:

Kathy Nix is a native Georgian and graduated from UGA in 1985.  After a brief stint with an interior design firm she landed a job with McKenney's Inc. first working in the commercial department and then the service department.  In 1993 she took a position with Purafil as an equipment engineer.  She eventually rose to the position of western regional sales manager until the lure of being her own boss was too strong.  She started AirEnergy, Inc. with a new PC and a list of customers in 2002 and has never looked back.

Tom Nix is a graduate of Georgia Tech earning his BME in 1984.  While at Tech he worked as a Cooperative student for the then sheet metal subsidary of McKenney's, Environmental Metal Systems, eventually becoming a permanent employee of EMS after graduation.  In 1988 he moved over to McKenney's becoming a Project Manager in the Tenant Mechanical department until 1993.  After a couple of Sales positions in the HVAC industry selling everything from unitary equipment to chillers and cooling towers he joined Kathy in late 2004. Despite many people telling them it would never work they have no regrets.  Tom has been a licensed PE in the state of Georgia since 2004.
